As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility project, Ibéricos Pefrán has closed this year a collaboration agreement with Pyfano, Association of Parents, relatives and friends of Oncological Children of Castilla y León. This entity is a regional non-profit association, which was founded in 2003, with the aim of improving the quality of life of children and adolescents with cancer and their families.
Pefran participates together with Pyfano in social campaigns against cancer and is committed to collaborate whenever possible in social and health projects and initiatives, which aim to promote education and the consolidation of a self-help network that serves as a satellite to the current medical, research and care work.
Ángel Hernández, CEO and Commercial Director of Pefrán, is very pleased to have been able to close this agreement with Pyfano, as "it allows us to contribute directly to an area of society that needs a lot of support. They make a great effort in an altruistic way and give their time. We cannot turn our backs on them, so we help by doing our bit".
The Corporate Social Responsibility assumed by Pefrán focuses precisely on this objective: to contribute to improving the society of which it is a part, beyond its own business profit or profitability.
Other collaborations
This line of action also leads us to get involved in our immediate environment, supporting initiatives to promote the rural environment. A close example is the collaboration with the Ampa of the CRA Valparaíso, in Santibáñez de Béjar, to whom some months ago we donated Pefrán products, which help them to raise funds to carry out repairs in the school.
